On May 27, a celebratory event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour, one of the giants of the world and Armenian culture of the 20th century, was held in the foyer of the Kajaran Cultural Palace on the joint initiative of the National Cinema Center of Armenia and the Kajaran Cultural Palace. Based on the memoirs and interviews of the great chansonnier, Aznavour's life was presented, from his childhood to his triumph on the world's biggest stages.
During the event, the most popular songs from Aznavour's repertoire were played: "Eternal Love," "La Bohème," and Sayat Nova's "Ashkharums". The "Nrane" dance ensemble performed a dance number, and the evening concluded with the screening of the film Charles Aznavour. Armenia, provided by the National Cinema Center of Armenia.
The audience enthusiastically participated in the jubilee event, once again paying tribute to the great Artist, who, with his entire life, activity, and artistic legacy, symbolizes the creative and eternal spirit of the Armenian people.
